Collect: Random urine specimen in a screw-capped
container (preferred) or other sterile collection cup. (Minimum: 0.6 mL)

Refrigerate (2-8°C or 36-46) urine specimens prior to transport.
Preparation for Courier Transport
Transport: 1.7 mL serum, refrigerated at (2-8°C or 36-46). (Minimum: 0.6 mL)
Rejection Criteria
- Received room temperature.
- Acidified urine.
- Specimens not collected and processed as indicated.
In-Lab Processing
Refrigerate (2-8°C or 36-46) urine specimens.
Transport: 1.7 mL serum, refrigerated (2-8°C or 36-46). (Minimum: 0.6 mL)
