Specimen Collection Criteria

Collect: 7.0 mL of urine in a sterile plastic urine container cup.

Physician Office/Draw Specimen Preparation

Transfer urine into metal-free aliquot tube and maintain at room temperature (20-26°C or 68-78.8°F).

Preparation for Courier Transport

Transport: 7.0 mL of urine in metal-free tube, maintain at room temperature (20-26°C or 68-78.8°F). (Minimum 3.0 mL)

Rejection Criteria

• Fecal contamination.
• Hemolysis.
• Specimens not collected and processed as indicated.

In-Lab Processing

Transfer urine into metal-free aliquot tube and maintain specimen at room temperature (20-26°C or 68-78.8°F).

Transport: 7.0 mL of urine in metal-free tube, at room temperature (20-26°C or 68-78.8°F). (Minimum 3.0 mL)
