Specimen Collection Criteria

Collect: Draw one Royal Blue-top tube with EDTA and discard. Draw second Royal Blue-top tube with EDTA.

Physician Office/Draw Specimen Preparation

Do not centrifuge. Refrigerate at (2-8°C or 36-46°F) specimen prior to transport.

Preparation for Courier Transport

Transport: 4.0 mL serum, refrigerated (2-8°C or 36-46). (Minimum: 0.7 mL)

Rejection Criteria

  • Clotted.
  • Specimens not collected and processed as indicated.

In-Lab Processing
