Specimen Collection Criteria

Collect: One Lavender-top EDTA tube.

Send specimen for processing immediately after collection. 

Physician Office/Draw Specimen Preparation

Do not centrifuge specimen. Maintain whole blood specimen frozen (-20°C/-4°F or below) in original collection tube prior to transport.

Preparation for Courier Transport

Transport: 1.0 mL whole blood in original collection tube, frozen (-20°C/-4°F or below). (Minimum: 0.5 mL)

Rejection Criteria

Specimens not collected and processed as indicated.

In-Lab Processing
